I love their music and seeing them live..really think they are talented..but for the life of me the whole echelon thing just…I don't know..it baffles me..like if you belong to Green Day's Idiot Club they never say those fans are better or more loyal than other fans..obviously if you are at their concert then you like them..I think they are great..I just am happy being a plain old regular fan.
Why not enjoy the few minutes we get and not analyze or complain about it? =)

This goes to the editor of your short videos – kind of a far reach, but hey, I got 5 minutes to spend…
This 30 seconds format worked very well for the rest of the tour videos. But this one appears to want to tell a story. I followed some of the comments on the video (always fun
) and I noticed a lot of people saying it was too short. Indeed, if you really want to get something out of it, you need to watch it twice. It does leave you a little disengaged.
The way I see it there are 3 problems with it:
a. What is the story exactly? "what happens when a show ends" or "this is our bus" or what? You can't tell. The message doesn't get across.
b. It seems to me that people are either going to watch these videos twice or dismiss them for being irrelevant. In which case, why not make them longer in the first place? You could probably go to 1 minute without any "storyline" issues.
c. There's a fine line between dynamic and rushed. And this one goes into the later. Like the shot of Jared in the middle of the empty stadium. You have 2 cuts there and there's no time to absorb any of them. And it's a beautiful contrast.
Along the same lines, I'd add a general reminder: don't fall into the trap of the editor who is too familiar with the material and can't tell anymore when the cuts are too short to understand what's going on. Remember: this is all behind the scenes footage – it's rarely seen – and it's far more enjoyable than any boring interview – let the viewers absorb it. And besides.. we're all watching these in 300-something pixels wide windows with lots of banners around.. if you're counting on wide shots to fill the eye… not a chance!
And that is the longest, most elaborate review of a 30 seconds video you'll ever get! At least now you guys can't complain that the damn lead singer gets ALL the attention all the time!

Jared and the guys are true artist whose love for their fans is evident. I saw them again last night at the House of Blues in Orlando and it was truly a highlight of my life. Thanks Jared, Shannon and Tomo, we love you and will follow you forever!
