We are looking for soldiers posted all around the world to submit videos of themselves, and their daily lives in the field, on base, and more, for a special Thirty Seconds To Mars project.
The best quality possible image and sound is preferred.
Along with this ‘day in the life’ material, we are also searching for soldiers in uniform to sing along to the song, “This is War”, looking straight into the camera. In addition, telling us your thoughts on war, your current situation, why you joined the military, opinions on government and current politics and thoughts on family, God, and home would be appreciated. The more creative the location the better. Ideally it would be a location that said something about the life of a soldier. Either on a mission, in a humvee, on a tank, in the field, or even at base camp.
Please include your name, contact details and submit a copy of the attached release.
A note for all the men and women in uniform who are reading this: Thank you so much for your service and commitment. Please stay safe and sound. We are sending good thoughts your way.

this sounds like an amazing idea and i really hope it works out but if anyone actually does this they'd get in so much shit so sadly i think it's doubtful this will actually end up happening

this is an excellent idea, really thoughtful and is bound to send a powerful and moving message.
I understand that its going to prove to be insanely difficult: actually getting footage, and the fact that the men and women serving in the armed forces will get into so much trouble if they do it. However, it is going to spectacular if this is accomplished, I can't wait to see the final result.

Why are we celebrating soldiers? They are being sent out to die for governmental profit, they aren't signing up for what they think they are and their lives are being wasted, get the troops OUT of Iraq-Iran-Afghan…Stop letting innocent people DIE! This war is NOT fighting for your country or to protect your families… Comments like "fighting for your freedom" are why people frown on this war, it's not for your freedom, it's for power and money for the US and it's leaders. Do they resolve or fix anything? NO!

This is great. My oldest brother made a career out of the military. He likes what he does. He has been to war several times, but he is to private of a person to do something like this. Would be cool for him though.

What a great and special project. I have friends in the Canadian Army. Blessed people they are to keep our country safe and war free. Wish for world peace everyday so they don't have to go over there and fight.
