Thanks for requesting MARS on the radio!
Here are some guidelines to follow when radio requesting for MARS:
- Do not include unnecessary twitter names to your requests. Adding @jaredleto, @thisisthehive, @7726, etc. is not necessary or needed to the radio station. If you want us to see you’re requesting, send us a separate tweet telling us to check out your twitter timeline!
- Lessen the use of any hashtags like #nightofthehunter or #noth. Those hash tags mean nothing to a station and can be glossed over. If you want to use a hashtag to track your requests, use #HUNTER
- Limit your radio requests to only your local station, and to stations that have “Night of the Hunter” on their countdowns. Radio stations will be able to tell if you are not within listening area, or if you’ve been requesting to various stations, evident through your twitter timeline. This would most likely cause stations to consider the radio requests “spam” and therefore won’t count the requests as real.
- Don’t spam stations with radio requests. Too many requests to one station can be an annoyance and considered “spam”, so the requests will be ignored. It can also bury the real requests from new listeners. So please refrain from requesting to a station too often in a day.
